About Linju

Linju means neighbour.
邻居 (lín jū) is Mandarin for the people next door. That is who Linju is for: the independent shops on your street, and the people who live around them.

The problem we kept seeing

Great shops, invisible to their street

An independent shop has no customer list, no way to bring someone back and no way to meet the households that move in every week. A flyer or a post can't tell it whether anyone came through the door.

A new home, and nowhere yet

When you move in you have no barber, no café and no dog groomer. You pick whichever you find first, and the good shop round the corner never gets its chance.

Tools that miss the point

Stamp cards work one shop at a time and never bring anyone new. Deal sites sell discounts to strangers and leave no relationship behind.

Why we started Linju

Linju started with something we saw on our own streets. In England alone, about 1.8 million households moved home in a single year (English Housing Survey 2024–25), and every one of them is looking for its café, its barber and its corner shop.
The shops nearby are hoping to be found. They are minutes apart and still miss each other. We built Linju to make that introduction, and to make it count: a welcome when you move in, a reason to come back, and a thank you for staying local.

What we believe

New customers first

Linju brings a shop people who have never been in, then helps them come back. Rewards come third, as a thank you.

Free for neighbours, always

Neighbours never pay for Linju. Shops can start free and stay free.

Your yes, or nothing

You hear only from the shops you choose. Shops never see your email or phone number, and we never sell your data.

The till is sacred

A stamp or a reward at the counter takes one tap, so the queue keeps moving.

Where we are going

Every independent high street in the UK, on one app. In every town, we want Linju to be how the shops and the people who live there find each other.
See you round the corner,
Team Linju
