Terms for shops
The agreement between your business and Linju when you set up and run a shop on Linju. These are business terms: please read them before you set up your shop.
In force from 14 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between Future Forge Private Limited, which runs Linju ("Linju", "we", "us"), and the business you set up a shop for ("you"). We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 15480332, VAT number GB 460 6603 05, registered office 19 Brubeck Way, Glebe Farm, Wavendon, Milton Keynes, England, MK17 8WR. Email: [email protected].
You agree to these terms for your business when you set up a shop, and again when we publish a new version. By agreeing, you confirm that you are acting for your business and not as a consumer, that you are allowed to agree on its behalf, and that the details you give us are true.
These terms apply alongside the Terms of use, which cover your personal account. If the two differ about your shop, these terms apply.
Staff you invite use Linju under the Terms of use. You are responsible for what your staff do with your shop on Linju.
2. Your shop on Linju
We check every new shop before its page goes live. We may ask for changes, or decline a shop, for example if it is not an independent business, is outside the areas Linju serves, or its content breaks these terms.
Keep your shop's details accurate and up to date: its name, address, opening hours, category and photo.
Keep the prices you show on Linju accurate and up to date. They are your prices, shown as you set them.
3. Your offers, stamp card and rewards
You are the promoter of every welcome offer, stamp card reward and offer in an update that your shop shows on Linju. You alone are responsible for them: their terms, their lawfulness, and honouring them.
Honour every offer and reward shown on Linju for anyone entitled to it on the terms shown, including rewards a customer earned before you changed or ended your stamp card.
Make your offers clear and true, with their significant conditions, and follow the law and the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing (the CAP Code), including its rules on sales promotions.
No welcome offer or reward may be alcohol, tobacco, a vape, or any other product the law restricts by age.
No prize draws, lotteries, or rewards that depend on chance.
You can pause or change your offers at any time. A change applies from when you make it.
4. Your customers and their data
Linju is responsible, as controller, for the personal data in Linju. Through Linju you see a customer's first name and last initial, their stamps and visits at your shop and whether they are new to you, and counts in your Results. You never see their email address, phone number or where they live.
Use what you see only to serve that customer at your shop.
Do not copy it out of Linju, sell it, combine it with other information to find out who someone is, or use it for marketing outside Linju.
If you record any of it outside Linju, you are responsible for that record under UK data protection law.
Message customers only through Linju. Linju sends your updates only to people who chose to follow your shop, within the limits of your plan.
5. Your content
Your shop's name, logo, photos and words stay yours. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, resize, re-encode, display and send them: on Linju (the app, linju.app, the weekly digest, notifications and your printed counter kit), and to show that your shop is on Linju when we tell people about Linju, for example on linju.app or in app store listings. You can ask us to stop that second use at any time by emailing [email protected]. The licence lasts while your shop is on Linju, and for as long afterwards as we need to remove your content from our systems and keep the records the law requires.
You confirm that you have the right to use everything you publish, that it is accurate and lawful, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
We have no tolerance for objectionable content. Nothing you publish may be illegal, misleading, hateful, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, sexually explicit or violent. We remove it as soon as we know about it, and a serious breach can close your shop at once (section 11).
We may refuse, hide or remove content, pause offers, or hide or close a shop that breaks these terms or the law, or after a report, as our moderation policy describes. We tell you why, and you can appeal a removal once.
6. Plans, prices and payment
The Free plan is free for as long as you use it, within the limits shown on linju.app/shops. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before we lower those limits.
Paid plans include what linju.app/shops describes at the time you buy. Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT; your invoice shows the VAT.
You pay on linju.app through Stripe, our payment provider, and you agree to Stripe's terms for that payment. We never see your full card details. In the app you can see your plan, but you cannot buy one there.
A monthly or yearly plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your plan on linju.app: your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for, then your shop moves to the Free plan.
A single month of Plus ends by itself and does not renew.
A free trial lasts the number of days shown when you start it, needs no card, and ends by itself unless you choose a paid plan.
A founding shop offer applies as we offer it to you in writing and as your plan on linju.app shows it.
If you move to a smaller plan, the change takes effect at the end of your current period. Nothing you have created is deleted.
If a payment fails and is not made, your shop moves to the Free plan.
We do not refund part of a period, except where these terms or the law say otherwise.
We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email of a price increase. The new price applies from your first renewal after the notice, and you can cancel before then.
If we reduce what your paid plan includes in a way that matters to you, we will give you at least 30 days' notice. You can then cancel and we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.
Shops on a paid plan get priority email support: we answer their email to [email protected] before email from shops on Free. We do not promise a reply time.
You are responsible for your own taxes.
7. No promise of results
Linju helps people near your shop find it and come back, but we do not promise any number of customers, visits, sales or other results, and no plan's price depends on them. The figures in your Results are measured by Linju as Linju describes them, for your information.
8. Your responsibilities
Follow every law that applies to your business, including consumer protection, food safety, trading standards, licensing, equality and tax law.
You are responsible for the goods and services you sell, and for how you treat your customers.
Scan honestly: no stamps without a real visit, and no use of your own or your staff's codes to collect offers or rewards. We may look into unusual activity and pause a shop while we do.
Keep your team up to date, and remove staff who leave.
9. Claims about your shop
You will compensate us for any loss, cost (including reasonable legal costs) or liability we incur because of a claim by anyone else, including a customer or a regulator, that arises from your offers, rewards, goods or services, from your content, or from your breach of these terms or the law. We will tell you about such a claim promptly and let you take a reasonable part in dealing with it.
10. Our responsibility to you
We provide Linju with reasonable care and skill. Linju is provided as it is available: we work to keep it running well, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of faults.
We are not responsible for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss. We are not responsible for what customers do, or for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Our total responsibility to you for all claims in any 12 months is limited to the greater of £100 and the amount you paid us for your shop in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit or exclude.
11. Ending
You can close your shop at any time by contacting us, or by deleting your account. If you have a paid plan, cancel it first; we do not refund the current period.
We may suspend or close your shop if you seriously break these terms and do not put it right within 14 days of our asking, if you break them in a way that cannot be put right, if you publish illegal content or act fraudulently, or if a payment is not made. Where we can, we tell you first.
If we stop providing Linju in your area or altogether, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.
When your shop closes, its page comes off Linju and customers' cards at your shop end. We keep the records described in our Privacy notice. Sections 4, 5, 9, 10 and 12 continue after your shop closes.
12. General
If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we will tell you at least 30 days before the change and ask you to accept the new terms in Linju. If you do not accept them, you can close your shop, and we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.
These terms, the Terms of use, the plan details shown when you buy and any founding shop offer we make you in writing are the whole agreement between you and us about your shop.
We may transfer this agreement to another organisation; you may transfer it only with our written agreement.
Nothing in these terms makes you and us partners, or makes either of us the other's agent. No one else has rights under these terms.
We send notices to the email address of your shop's owner on Linju. Send notices to us at [email protected].
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales alone can decide disputes about them.
You can ask us for any earlier version of these terms at [email protected].
